Sarah Kadrnka
I am a London born young artist. With my art, my aim is to draw attention to global environmental issues which are not spoken about enough or known. I believe it is crucial to remind ourselves that we need to care for nature, one another and creatures alike. My latest project is based on the badger cull. I sometimes create my pieces to evoke feelings of calm and peacefulness, other times, to make people think. I specialise in water-based paints. I find art a great means of relaxation and enrichment in my life.
During the lockdown, I created educational videos and art tutorials as free resources. I also work with children to enrich and stimulate their learning experience and provide various art projects. To develop my teaching and knowledge, I completed an environmental teaching course by WWF.
My inspirations are the Art Nouveau and Surrealist movements and artists such as John Singer Sargent, Alphonse Mucha and Beatrix Potter. I also appreciate the works of modern artists such as Stephanie Law, Teagan White and Dulk.
